A Backyard Cottage or ADU (accessory dwelling unit) is a small-typically no more than 800 square feet of finished living space, detached residential structure that shares the same lot as the owner's single-family home. A Backyard Cottage is self-contained, having its own kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and is physically separate from the owners primary home. Timberland Homes has built these homes with varying architectural features and provides a shorter timeline and less disruption to the primary home as the home is delivered as a custom modular home once the site work is completed. Check with our sales staff for additional information regarding these innovative homes.
